HCC, which also has a respected heritage of canning fine quality beers, ciders, RTDs and soft drinks. HCC was set up to answer the growing demand from brand owners for up-to-the-minute, efficient, responsive, flexible beverage canning.
HCC’s customer base includes numerous well-known brand owners. Our newest initiative is packaging wine, seltzers and RTD cocktails.

A major new investment has been completed in the form of a high speed line capable of handling even more high volume contracts. Luke Higham
HEAD OF ENGINEERING
Luke is an experienced Engineering Manager with over 10 years’ experience across the FMCG and automotive sectors, having worked with Ornua Ingredients Europe, Müller Milk & Ingredients and Avara Foods. A hands-on engineer with strong mechanical and electrical expertise, Luke has a proven record of building high-performing teams and successfully delivering complex CAPEX projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Over 20 years experience in the Food and Drinks Industry in the area of Logistics and Supply Chain. Companies worked for include Muller Dairies, Bulmers, Scottish & Newcastle and Heineken.

Over 25 years experience in the Food and Drinks Industry within the area of Production, Quality and Continuous Improvement. Lean Sigma Green Belt, MBA Diploma, BSc Hons. Companies worked for include Glaxo SmithKline, Faccenda Group and Heineken.

Over nine years’ experience within Industry and specifically the Food and Drinks industry, having previously worked for Avara Foods and Amcor Flexibles Ltd.
Rod Phillips
LABORATORY MANAGER
Over 30 years experience in the Food and Drinks Industry within the area of Technical and Quality Assurance. Companies worked for include H.P. Bulmer, Robertsons Preserves and Heineken.
Paul Raisborough
HEAD OF LOGISTICS
Paul holds a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management from the Chartered Management Institute and brings extensive leadership experience from both the armed forces and the FMCG sector. After 26 years in the military, he moved into industry where he led large, complex logistics operations across multiple sites at Avara Foods. He brings strong expertise in distribution models, operational accountability, and leading logistic teams.

Paula has over 25 years of experience in quality and technical functions within the FMCG sector, including roles with Heinekin, Meadow Cheese and Kerry Ingredients. Since joining HCC in 2022, she has focused on building strong continuous improvement cultures and strengthening the company’s technical reputation with customers through robust systems, high standards and collaborative leadership.
Chris South
HEAD OF MANUFACTURING
Chris brings over 20 years’ experience in the food and drink industry, having worked for HP Bulmers and Heineken before joining HCC in 2013. With deep technical expertise in canning, processing and packaging, he leads the manufacturing function and plays a key role in developing technical capability and operational excellence across the site.
Mark Whittall
HEAD OF HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT & FACILITIES
Mark has more than 20 years’ experience in Health & Safety across the logistics, warehousing and food and drink sectors. His career includes roles with Kimberly-Clark, Guiness and Weston’s Cider. A Graduate member of IOSH, holder of the NEBOSH Diploma, a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport and a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Mark brings a proactive, preventative, and practical approach to HSE leadership at HCC.
